A gentler kind of restoration.
Paramedical tattoo is the careful art of blending custom skin-tone pigment into scarred, stretched, or pigment-uneven skin. Not a cover-up, a quiet, layered restoration that lets you see yourself again.
What is paramedical tattooing?
Paramedical tattooing, sometimes called scar camouflage or corrective pigment camouflage, is a specialized form of cosmetic tattooing developed for medical and therapeutic purposes. Pigment is custom-blended to match your unique skin tone and applied in fine, gradual layers using techniques designed to soften the contrast between scarred and healthy skin. It's used for surgical scars, stretch marks, burn scars, accident scars, self-harm scars, and other skin irregularities. The goal isn't to erase what you've been through, it's to give your skin a softer, more even appearance so the scar stops being the first thing you see.
- Blends discoloration with surrounding skin tone
- Custom pigment matched by hand to you
- Gradual, layered work over multiple sessions
- Reduces visual contrast and softens texture
- Restores confidence, without erasing your story
Is this right for you?
Paramedical tattoo works best on scars and skin irregularities that are fully healed (typically 12 months or more), flat or close to flat, lighter than your surrounding skin, and free of any active treatment. The best way to know is a consultation, we'll look at the area together, talk about your history, and I'll give you an honest answer.
A good fit if…
- Surgical scars (tummy tuck, breast surgery, C-section, etc.)
- Stretch marks (silver/white, fully healed)
- Healed burn scars (lighter than surrounding skin)
- Self-harm scars (fully healed)
- Accident & injury scars
Let's pause if…
- Active acne or eczema in the area
- Recent retinoid or laser treatment
- Raised, keloid, or hypertrophic scars
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Scar less than 12 months old
