Surgical Scar Camouflage · Huntington Beach

Restoration after the operation.

Camouflage for tummy tuck, breast surgery, C-section, mastectomy, and other surgical scars, once your skin has fully healed and is ready to receive pigment.

Overview

For surgical scars 12+ months post-op

Surgery saves lives and reshapes futures, but it leaves visible reminders behind. Once your scar has matured (typically 12 months or more after surgery), paramedical tattoo can soften the contrast between the scar tissue and your surrounding skin. Common surgeries we work with include tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast augmentation/reduction/lift, C-section, mastectomy, top surgery, and orthopedic surgical scars.

  • Tummy tuck / abdominoplasty
  • Breast surgery (aug, reduction, lift, mastectomy)
  • C-section scars
  • Top surgery & gender-affirming scars
  • Orthopedic surgical scars
Candidacy

Good candidates

Surgical scars must be fully healed and matured, at least 12 months post-op, with full clearance from your surgeon if you're unsure. The scar should be flat or close to flat, lighter than the surrounding skin, and stable.

A good fit if…

  • 12+ months post-op
  • Surgeon-cleared healing
  • Flat or near-flat scar
  • Lighter than surrounding skin

Let's pause if…

  • Less than 12 months post-op
  • Raised, keloid, or hypertrophic scarring
  • Active treatment of the scar
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Common Questions

About surgical scar camouflage.

Yes, on fully healed and matured scars cleared for tattooing. Some surgeons recommend waiting longer than 12 months, we always defer to your medical team if there's any question.
C-section scars are some of the most common surgical scars I camouflage. Most respond very well after 12+ months of healing, usually in 2–3 sessions.
Mastectomy and reconstruction scars need full surgical clearance. Once cleared, paramedical camouflage can help the scar blend with surrounding chest skin. I work patiently and gently with this work.
